We’ve got 4 easy recipes to make your own chili sauce at home. These sauces feature different levels of heat and flavour profiles, so there’s a chili sauce for everyone! The best part? Each recipe takes no more than 5 minutes to make. Just throw the ingredients in a blender and voilà! You’ve got chili sauce. Once made, they will last for about 4-5 days in a refrigerator.
The Chili Sauces:


1. Oh So Oregano Chili Sauce
Prepare this Oregano Chili as an addition to your favourite pasta sauce or as a seasoning for fish.
Ingredients:
- 1 red pepper, roasted
- 3 jalapeño peppers
- 1 red chili pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 basil leaves
- 2 tsp oregano, dried
- 1/2 onion
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp coconut milk
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp black pepper, crushed
Instructions:
- Blend together.

2. Gnarly Garlic Chili Sauce
Add a teaspoon of this Garlic Chili sauce to your veggie stir fry or use as a rub for chicken.
Ingredients:
- 1 roasted garlic heads, peel off skin
- 10 red chili pepper
- 2 shallots, peel off skin
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp peanut or sesame oil
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp fish sauce
Instructions:
- Blend all ingredients together.

3. Sizzling Scotch Bonnet Chili Sauce
Scotch Bonnet Chili is a the perfect complement to lamb and beef. Add a tiny dash to stews to give them a kick.
Ingredients:
- 1 shallot
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 8 scotch bonnet chilies
- 3 ripe tomato
- 2 tbsp apple vinegar
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- salt to taste
- 1 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
- Blend all the ingredients together.

4. Gentle Green Chili Sauce
Gentle Green Chili is best served as a rub for fish or as a condiment with Thai & Mexican food.
Ingredients:
- 6 long green chilies
- 1 green bell pepper
- 10 cloves garlic
- 1 bunch coriander, coarsely chopped
- 1 bunch parsley, coarsely chopped
- ½ tbsp fennel seeds
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- ½ tbsp ground cardamon
- 1½ tsp salt
- Olive oil
Instructions:
