Natural DIY Cleaning Products For Spring

Citrus All-Purpose Cleaner

Since white vinegar is 5% acetic acid, it can kill bacteria and viruses (with the help of a little elbow grease) and it makes the perfect base ingredient for your DIY cleaning product. For this cleaner, we neutralized the strong, vinegar-y odor with a trifecta of citrusy essential oils: orange, grapefruit, and lemon.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 1 16-Oz Spray Bottle
• 1 Cup White Vinegar
• 1 Cup Distilled Water
• 3 Drops Orange Essential Oil
• 3 Drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
• 3 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

Here’s what you’ll do:

Pour all ingredients into the spray bottle, using a funnel if necessary. Gently shake before using.

Lavender Air Freshener

Baking soda is the “jack of all trades” when it comes to your kitchen — unclogging drains, removing oil and grease, deodorizing the fridge (not to mention garbage disposals, cutting boards, and litter boxes) and freshening the air.

Just like with the Citrus Cleaner, this air freshener makes ample use of fragrant essential oils. This time, lavender and lemon.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 1 16-Oz Spray Bottle
• 2 Cups Distilled Water
• 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
• 7 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
• 3 Drops Lemon Essential Oil

Here’s what you’ll do:

Pour all ingredients into the spray bottle, using a funnel if necessary. Gently shake before using.
