Move over chips and dip, there’s a new (and improved) appetizer in town! Puff pastry is unbelievably versatile and looks super fancy with a crunchy, golden-brown exterior. Plus, it’s easily available at most local grocery stores! Impress your guests and serve up a platter of these puff pastry summer snacks. Or just eat them all yourself — we won’t judge.
Spinach Puff Pastry Triangles
If a spanakopita and a samosa had a baby it would be these spinach and cheese filled pastries.

- 1 Package Puff Pastry
- 1 Small Onion
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 500g Baby Spinach
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 80g Feta Cheese
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 2 Tbsp Milk
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Finely chop onion and garlic cloves and cut feta into small cubes.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan, sauté onion and garlic 2 minutes until fragrant. Slowly add in spinach and cook for 5 minutes until wilted.
- Allow onion, garlic, and spinach mix to cool completely and squeeze out any excess liquid.
- In a large bowl, mix spinach filling with the feta. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out puff pastry and cut into 8 equal squares.
- Mix egg yolk and milk in a small bowl, then brush the egg-milk mixture on the corners of the puff pastry squares.
- Add a heaping tablespoon of the spinach-feta filling in a corner of each pastry square. Fold the pastry diagonally in half to create a triangular dumpling. Seal the edges with a fork. Brush remaining egg-milk mixture over the puff pastry for a shiny and golden finish.
- Bake in middle of the oven for 18-20 minutes.
Salmon Puff Pastry Rolls
Think cinnamon rolls, but savoury and with salmon.

- 1 Package Puff Pastry
- 100g Cream Cheese
- 100g Smoked Salmon
- 1 Green Onion
- 2 Tbsp Dill, finely chopped
- 50g Grated Cheese (We love a good Gruyère but any other quality cheese will do!)
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 395°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut smoked salmon into thin strips and thinly slice green onion.
- In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, salmon, green onions, dill, and grated cheese Season with salt and pepper.
- On a large clean surface, roll out puff pastry and spread the filling evenly over the pastry. Roll the pastry up lengthwise and cut into half inch pieces.
- Spread rolls on baking sheet and bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown.
Bacon and Cheese Puff Pastry Twists

- 1 Egg
- 100g Grated Cheddar or Parmesan
- 8 Slices Bacon
- 50g Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Rosemary, finely chopped
- 1/4 Paprika
- 1/4 Tsp Salt
- 1/4 Tsp Pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix egg, salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar, and rosemary.
- On a clean surface, roll out the puff pastry and sprinkle grated cheese evenly across the pastry. Arrange bacon on the sheet and press lightly into the pastry.
- Using a sharp knife, cut between the slices to create individual “sticks,”and twist them carefully into spirals.
- Lay the sticks on the baking sheet. Brush over with the egg mixture.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 25-30 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
