NOW ON THE MENU: New Ingredients

    Here at HelloFresh, we strive to bring you the best of the best ingredients. Our teams work together to create delicious meals with fresh, local ingredients. Check out all the new ingredients our culinary team has been incorporating into the menu this month! 


    Mussels and Linguine

    Coming from Mussel King, a small supplier in PEI, every mussel that comes in your weekly box is sustainably sourced, delicious, and fully cooked!

    We promise they’ll make dinner easier, more delicious, and fresh! Mussels are a great source of zinc, iron, and protein. Plus they’re low in calories and fat (that sounds like a win-win to us!).

    Expect this delicious seafood to find its way onto our menu in different ways! We’re currently using it in Mussels in Shallot Broth and Mussels and Linguine. Yum!

    Butternut Squash Ravioli

    We’re here to keep the cozy vibes going with new recipes and new ingredients, so we’re happy to be including fresh butternut squash stuffed ravioli in our recipes. How much more “Fall” can you get? 

    What can you expect with your first bite? A delicate texture that pairs beautifully with sauces and has a smooth butternut squash filling. Due to the addition of extra water and eggs, fresh pasta is more tender and cooks in half the time!! Which is what we’re all about — making dinner easier for you. 

    Plus, butternut squash is a great source of fibre, potassium, and several other key nutrients. It may be a fruit, but it can be used like any vegetable would, like roasted, sautéed, and more! Add Butternut Squash Ravioli and Cheesy Squash- Stuffed Ravioli Bake to your menu to taste this newest addition. Don’t forget to keep a lookout for more fresh pasta in upcoming menus. 


    Barramundi with medley of veggie ingredients

    A type of sea bass, Barramundi’s natural habitat spans from Northern Australia through Southeast Asia, and as far as the coastal waters of India and Sri Lanka. They’re sustainably farmed and eat a predominantly plant-based diet. It’s a perfect choice for fish newbies!

    Barramundi has a mild, sweet flavour due to being raised in warmer waters. Its skin is delicate, buttery, and simply delicious if you ask us! Fun fact: Barramundi is known as the fish for people who don’t like fish. Plus, it’s fool-proof: even if overcooked it’s still tender.
