Introducing our new green cell liners: our latest innovation to reduce our environmental impact while keeping your food fresh!

Our new green cell liner works twice as hard, keeping your food cold and fresh as it’s being delivered in a more eco-friendly way.

HelloFresh green cell liners benefits:

• A smaller packaging footprint, meaning shipments are lighter and use less gas to go the same distance.
• The liner is dissolvable in water.
• 100% compostable – you can even put the liners in your garden as plant food!
• Use as firestarters for emergencies, a camping trip, or a backyard bonfire.

Going green: HelloFresh sustainability initiatives

We’re proud of our new green cell liners, but they’re just the latest in our goal to be a more environmentally-friendly company. When you use HelloFresh, you reduce food waste thanks to our perfectly proportioned meals. With an estimated 50 million tonnes of food going to waste in Canada, we all need to work to consume our food while fresh and avoid excess waste. Our carbon footprint is 25% lower than meals made from store-bought ingredients, thanks to a more streamlined and efficient distribution process . We’re always aiming to improve that number!

Plastic is a problem, and we take those concerns seriously. We’ve partnered with Plastic Bank®️ to set up three plastic collection centers in Indonesia. Over the next three years, these centers will prevent an equivalent of 37.5 million plastic bottles from entering the ocean.

We’re exceptionally proud of the efforts our team has made to continuously reduce our footprint and better our environment – and we know there’s more to do! We’re thrilled to share our green cell liners with you, can’t wait to hear what you think.
