With it’s sweet and tangy flavour, it’s no surprise clementines are a holiday favourite. Orange you glad we’ve got all the deets and a clementine recipe for you?

While we love to enjoy them while in season (October to January), clementines are truly a snack you can enjoy year round. They’re so easy to peel and they add a refreshing touch to basically anything. Plus, they’re not only delicious but full of Vitamin C.  It’s no wonder they’re known as the ‘crown jewel’ of the citrus world!

    Chocolate-Dipped Clementines with Sea Salt:

This sweet clementine recipe makes the perfect snack for those holiday parties or as a light dessert to follow your holiday feasts. Sweet, tangy, and salty all in one = a clementine trifecta!

    What you need:

    • Clementines
    • Dark Chocolate Chips
    • Sea Salt Flakes

    Step 1: Peel Clementines

Peel the clementines and separate each individual orange segment.

    Step 2: Melt Chocolate

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in a microwave for 1-2 min.  (Pro Tip: Be careful not to let them heat up too long, they’ll burn and harden up!)

    Step 3: Dip Clementines

Dip half of each orange segment into the chocolate then lay it on a parchment-lined baking sheet.  Don’t go overboard on the chocolate! It’s all about balance. (But go ahead and eat a few handfuls of chocolate chips, we won’t judge!)

    Step 4: Add Sea Salt

Sprinkle the orange segments with sea salt while the chocolate is still soft.

    Step 5: Refrigerate

Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator until the chocolate is firm. This should take around 10-15 min.

    Step 6: Finish and Serve

Transfer to a platter and enjoy every delicious bite! Tag your chocolate clementines with #HelloFreshLife so we can see all your sweet creations.
