Popcorn is one of those magical snacks that taste great with simple toppings but is also a delicious vessel for creative toppings and seasonings. These sweet popcorn flavourings are a great way to add a little variety to your movie night.

Cinnamon Sugar Popcorn
Cinnamon sugar is arguably one of the best flavour combinations, and on popcorn it’s even better! This easy popcorn topping instantly takes this typically salty snack, to a sweet treat.
Ingredients:
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions:
- In a large bowl toss popcorn with melted butter.
- In a small bowl combine cinnamon and sugar, then sprinkle over buttered popcorn.
Matcha Popcorn
What was once a cozy winter latte, is now a sweet snack for your next movie night! We love this recipe so matcha, and we think you will too.
Ingredients:
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 1.5 tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tbsp matcha powder
- sea salt, to taste
Instructions:
- In large bowl toss popcorn with melted coconut oil.
- Sprinkle popcorn with matcha powder and salt – toss to coat.
Salted Dark Chocolate Popcorn
You thought chocolate couldn’t get any better? Think again! This combination of sweet and salty is snacking perfection!
Ingredients:
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 4 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
Instructions:
- Place popcorn in a large bowl. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set both aside.
- Place chocolate and half the salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments until chocolate is fully melted.
- Pour melted chocolate over popcorn and immediately toss to coat.
- Spread chocolate covered popcorn onto the lined baking sheet and sprinkle with remaining sea salt.
- Let it sit a room temperature until chocolate has hardened, about 1 hour.
Salted Caramel Popcorn
And last, but certainly not least… Salted Caramel Flavoured Popcorn. This classic never goes out of season!
Ingredients:
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tso vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
Instructions:
- Place popcorn in a large bowl and set aside.
- Heat butter over medium heat until melted. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup. Bring to a boil and let cook about 3 minutes.
- Add vanilla extract, sea salt, and baking soda. Stir to combine.
- Pour caramel sauce slowly over popcorn, stirring frequently to coat.
- Set aside to cool.
